A Dane, a British expat, and a graduate who used to live in Denmark write about the joys and sorrows of learning Danish.

I’m from the UK and moved to Denmark with my Danish partner at the end of 2014. I’ve recently reached the end of my Lærdansk studies and I’m now trying to boost my language skills in the workplace.

As well as learning languages, I love eating tasty food, having adventures and reading inspiring books.

I am a 27 year old philosophy major based in Copenhagen. I blog about my experiences as a volunteer for Taldansk Online and the work I do as a language partner.

When I am not blogging, I like to study Phenomenological Psychopathology and do all sorts of outdoor activities – preferably not at the same time.

Recently moved back to Greece, I blog and volunteer for Taldansk Online. And since bloggers are people too, I have other interests as well… In short, let’s say I like beer, chocolate and being active – I somehow have to burn those calories!

Nicole: expat mom from the Netherlands blogged about living in Denmark and learning the language – contributed with articles for the section Expat in Denmark in 2015/2016.

Catrin: living in Wales, she started learning Danish out of pleasure – contributed with articles for the section Learning Danish from abroad in 2015/2016.
